Medical indemnity

Medical indemnity is mandatory for students on clinical electives. Work the World recommend the Medical Protection Society (MPS) for UK students and the Medical Indemnity Protection Society (MIPS) for Australian and New Zealand students.

As a mutual, not-for-profit professional organisation, MPS is owned by – and accountable to – its members. Student membership is FREE and provides access to worldwide elective indemnity protection.

Medical Indemnity Protection Society

MIPS is managed by health professionals and has been protecting, supporting and safeguarding the professional character and interests of members since 1988. 

Student membership is free and MIPS provides student members with a range of membership benefits including medical indemnity insurance and MIPS protections cover while you undertake your elective.  

MIPS indemnity cover is available to Australian and New Zealand students only.
