Ghana
On the coast of West Africa just north of the equator, Ghana offers a real insight into how traditional attitudes and economic limitations impact on healthcare delivery in the developing world. It is also one of the safest countries in the region, with a laid back feel that will quickly slow down your pace of life to let you enjoy its fascinating culture and welcoming people.

Tanzania
High on the Maasai Plains, between the Serengeti National Park and the mighty Mount Kilimanjaro, the town of Arusha is the perfect base from which to explore the very best of East Africa. We arrange placements in seven different hospitals and clinics, including the large government-run Mount Meru Regional Hospital. There’s also the chance to spend a week on our Maasai Traditional Medicine Experience out in the tribal villages.

India
Our programme is based at the southern tip of this vast and colourful country, where the Western Ghat mountains descend through the warm jungles of Kerala to the shores of the Indian Ocean. We offer placements in both government and private hospitals throughout the city and we take care of most of India’s famous bureaucracy for you. There is also the opportunity to join our week-long Ayurveda course, giving a practical introduction to this 5000 year-old medical science.

Zanzibar
The latest addition to our portfolio, available from spring 2008, opens up opportunities for electives and healthcare placements on this paradise island in the Indian Ocean. Our key partner is the main government hospital in Zanzibar’s old capital, Stone Town, and we are currently developing opportunities to get involved in community work elsewhere on the island. Oh, and did we mention the beaches?
