The team at Work the World
Work the World is a British company that organises placements for student medics, nurses, dentists and physiotherapists to gain experience working in Africa and Asia. Although we focus in particular on electives, placements are available to students at any stage of their course and to those wanting to broaden their experience after graduation.
By focussing on healthcare placements, we provide high quality programmes that are designed specifically to meet the needs of our customers. We also enjoy strong partnerships with a large number of hospitals, clinics, government authorities and NGOs overseas, giving us the freedom to organise placements quickly and efficiently.
Having a well-organised work placement is crucial, but it isn’t the only thing that most students want from their elective or summer placement. Our programmes are also about the social experience, travelling off the beaten track, getting involved in community work and – perhaps most importantly – having fun!
