Ideal for first and second year medics, nurses and other healthcare students, we can arrange placements similar to an elective but with a lower level of responsibility. It’s the perfect way to spend your summer combining work, travel and having fun!

HIV Outreach Project
(Tanzania, East Africa)

Pioneered by a group of Work the World students in summer 2006, these team projects are run by our own full-time Project Leaders in partnership with local doctors and get you really involved in addressing the grass roots issues of HIV and AIDS awareness.

Dental Outreach Project
(Ghana)

This 3-week project provides free dental care to West African villages that don't have a dentist. Your team of 6-8 dental elective students will work with an experienced Ghanaian dentist to set up temporary clinics in villages in the south of the country.
