Ezekial, our Ghana Assistant Programme Manager, has been in touch again to tell us just how exciting his home country is....
"Choosing to do your elective placement at Work the World Ghana not only presents the opportunity for experiencing healthcare delivery in a multicultural environment but also an opportunity for intrepid adventures.
Eastern Ghana, which is about six hours drive from Work the World house in Takoradi, hosts some of the countries most spectacular tourism activities. One of the students favourites is a visit to the largest man-made lake in the world and the River Volta - it's an ideal place for hikers, there are lots of cruises and it also hosts the popular annual paragliding contents with “Kwahu” Easter festive activities.
The 2013 paragliding festival is expected to attract twenty- one pilots from Norway, France, Brazil, Japan, South Africa and Australia. Signing up for Ghana 2013 during the Easter festive season presents great opportunities for adventure!"
So.... if you are planning an elective for next Easter, have a think about Ghana. Ezekial is very confident that choosing your elective here will be a decision you won't regret!
