Working with your university
In 2012 we arranged placements for students from over 250 universities worldwide. As such we are very aware that many universities have specific requirements regarding electives. Whether it is reassurance that Work the World follow guidelines laid out by regulatory bodies and professional associations, or more specific information about the structure of each placement, we always do our best to provide the information needed.
For those universities that require a more formal agreement, we have contracts and MOU's in place with several institutions and are happy to provide audit information and help complete risk assessments if you need them. We are also happy to discuss tailored group trips for students. Contact us for more information.
What can we provide?
- Written, signed confirmation of your Work the World placement, including hospital information, supervisor name and contact details
- Health and safety / risk assessments
- Supervisor / hospital agreements confirming your placement
- Anything else you might need!
As an academic institution we believe the students receive excellent learning experiences in supportive environments. We are also assured that the students are well supervised and cared for during their placements. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that also prepares students for working overseas after they graduate and register as nurses.
I have worked with Work the World for the past three years and have been truly impressed by this excellent organisation. It would have been impossible for us to have provided our students with the same degree of expertise, knowledge and on-the-ground back-up and support.
