On a physiotherapy placement in our partner hospital, you'll see around 20 cases a day come through the Physiotherapy Department in Takoradi, many of which are regular patients. Of these cases, common conditions include Bells' palsy, Erb's palsy, and strokes. Treatment here focuses on the use of gym equipment and teaching patients exercises they can practice at home. Your time off can be spent exploring the many magnificent, awe-inspiring sites of Ghana – ancient waterfalls, remote villages, and coastlines with golden beaches to name but a few.
