On a midwifery elective in Dar Es Salaam, you'll have the opportunity to work in both a government tertiary referral hospital and the local regional hospital. Practises adopted by Tanzanian midwives here are dramatically different to those in the UK, giving your placement a completely unique quality. You can also choose to specialise in neonatal intensive care, or work with mothers who are HIV positive. Outside of hospital grounds head out on safari to spot big game like rhinos, lions, and a host of other animals. Read what our students think below!
