Like with any rotation you get out what you put in and I recommend making the most of it!

I was left in awe and thoroughly impressed by the doctors’ dedication towards their patients

I was a little bit apprehensive initially about travelling with a company such as Work the World as it would limit my independence, but in fact it served to enhance my experience.

The clinical skills I obtained here are far better than we get at home and the approach to health in a resource limited setting were two components that I will personally take home with me as I continue my training in Canada.

A month before we were meant to leave our independently organised elective was cancelled. We called Work the World and they arranged electives in our chosen fields around our flight dates.
