At around 10pm the power cut and despite being told there was a lantern, it had no batteries. The baby was born by the light of the torches on our phones!

The strength and confidence I developed in myself and in my practice out there will hopefully last a lifetime.

The strength of Ghanaian women is inspirational. Not only do they click their way through contractions but manage to walk between two rooms in order to bring their newborn to this world.

On the first day we had 5 births including a set of twins, not bad going!

Go! .... But take a head torch and an open mind to make it even more incredible!
