I have enjoyed every day in the hospital and weekends with my friends.

I honestly don’t feel I can put how much I have actually learned into words but I would strongly encourage everyone to experience this if they can. I have always loved the NHS at home but never have I been truly grateful. I am going home a different person.

Do not hesitate or make excuses. If you want to have the time of your life, get it booked

Sri Lanka is a vibrant and welcoming country and I will definitely be coming back to visit in the future!

At the end of the day I walked back to the house feeling amazing because I had done something that I actually felt had made a difference

The sophistication of the surgical procedures and advanced medical care that I witnessed was unexpected

I was able to combine my passions for nursing and travel. I learnt so much that I came home inspired and dreaming of my next Work the World placement!

I travelled alone and was a bit worried that I might get a bit lonely but everyone was so nice and I have made friends for life

I came home a different person and know it’s the best thing I’ve ever done
